Garlic Prawns

Garlic lovers, here’s your dish! This simple and delicious stir-fry takes just a few minutes to prepare and only involves a handful of ingredients.


Approx 12 giant freshwater prawns
2 tbsp chopped garlic
Sliced spring onion
Chopper garlic
1 tbsp finely chopped coriander root
1 tsp pepper
1 tbsp sugar
½ tbsp fish sauce
A sprinkle of cooking oil
Tips of spring onion or cilantro for garnish

  1. Wash the prawns, shell and devein.
  2. Saute garlic, coriander roots and pepper in oil over medium heat until fragrant. Add sugar and dish sauce and stir well.
  3. Add the prawns and saute until done. Next, add the spring onions and chopped ginger and stir well.
  4. Spoon onto a serving dish and garnish with spring onion tips or cilantro and ready to serve!
